The seventh edition of the intensive training and empowerment program, led by Honourable Ajilesoro, concluded successfully after covering various modules on cassava and yam production. The training encompassed essential topics such as sourcing and cutting of cassava stems, seed yams, treatment methods, spacing, transplanting, cultivation techniques, harvesting, packaging, and export processes. The aim was to improve food productivity and income generation within Ifeland constituency, addressing the needs of farmers and prospective farmers.Upon completion of the training, participants were rewarded with valuable agricultural incentives, including improved cassava stems, seed yams, certificates of completion, and a startup stipend to support their individual practices. They were also encouraged to form mini groups, enabling them to potentially access federal government loans and grants to further enhance their agricultural output. The participants were urged to apply the knowledge acquired during the training, and it was announced that another batch of the Agricultural Empowerment program would commence in a week’s time, reinforcing the commitment to empower and uplift farmers in the constituency.
